This curriculum web was developed to ensure that students had a sufficient understanding of the basic management and leadership functions within a business.  Georgia Performance Standards were the focus in developing the lessons for this unit.  Computer and Web researching were included in the sudent projects.

Learning Objectives

• Students will be able to identify the five functions of management in business.
• Students will be able to use an organizational chart to identify the levels of management within an organization.
• Students will be able to describe the need for leadership skills and the characteristics of an effective leader.
• Students will be able to identify the characteristics of the multiple generations represented in the workforce.
• Students will be able use to use Web sites and other online resources to secure information for completion of assigned projects.
