Rationale

Through class discussions, guest speakers, and case studies, students will explore the role and functions of management and leadership.  This unit will help students to develop a competitive edge for today’s marketplace.  This is an introductory business course designed to expose students grades 9-12 to the many facets of business.

The Georgia Performance Standards for this course are available for your review.  Simply click on the link for the Standards for Business Essentials to retrieve the complete list of standards.

To supplement our text, we will use the multigenerational lesson from the site entitled, Generations That Work—Lesson at http://wblconnections.com/wordpress/?p=46.  We will incorporate information from this site and some suggested activities in our lessons.  Reading assignments, projects, and links for test prep will be posted for this chapter as we progress through the unit.
